Torsional accuracy and stability in machining are important indexes to evaluate mechanical properties. In order to ensure the normal operation of mechanical equipment, it is necessary to evaluate and adjust its torsional accuracy and stability. Industry Proto-mold ltd will introduce methods for evaluating and adjusting torsional accuracy and stability in machining
1. Evaluation of torsion accuracy
Torsion accuracy refers to the rotation accuracy of the parts, when it is rotated around its axis under the action of torque in the machining process. The commonly used methods to evaluate the torsional accuracy are: measuring the rotational yaw of the parts, measuring the angular vibration of the Parts and measuring the axial run out of the Part.
2. Measure the rotation yaw of the Part.
Rotational yaw refers to the degree to which the axis of the Parts deviates from the axis of rotation during rotation. The rotational yaw can be evaluated by measuring the angular difference between the highest point and the lowest point during a rotation of the part. The smaller the Angle difference, the smaller the rotation bias of the Parts, the higher the torsion accuracy.
3. Measure the angular vibration of the Precision pieces.
Angular vibration refers to the swing of the piece in the axis direction during rotation. Angular vibration can be assessed by measuring the standard deviation of the rotation Angle of the piece over a given period of time. The smaller the standard deviation, the smaller the angular vibration of the piece, the higher the torsion accuracy.
4. Measure the axial run out of the pieces
Axial runout refers to the movement of the axis in the vertical plane during the rotation of the workpiece. The axial runout can be evaluated by measuring the standard deviation of the position of any two points on the workpiece axis over a certain period of time. The smaller the standard deviation is, the smaller the axial runout of the workpiece and the higher the torsion accuracy.
Proto-mold is able to produce all kinds of plastic and metal materials, by CNC machining,3D printing,Sheet metal,Laser cutting etc. And you don't have to worry about these common concerns :
1. No MOQ limit, even production for one piece possible;
2. Both air/ ocean freight shipment possible (import customs clearance possible if needed);
4. Strict quanlity control- each item will be tested and QC report provided before shipment.
So please don't hesitate to send us your 2D drawings or 3D models (stp or step format ) for evaluation if you are interested.
Or if you still have any question, please feel free to ask.
